Our Team

Leadership

James Fox-Davies

James Fox-Davies joined the Company in 2019. Previously, James produced and sold hundreds of tonnes of high-quality shellfish annually to premium retail and food service customers across the UK and Europe.

James is the former owner of the first organically certified mussel farm and one of the largest scallop processing businesses on the South Coast. Fowey Shellfish Company Ltd supplied customers across the UK in food service and retail.

He has also served as a non-executive director of Flo-Grow Systems Limited and has been the Chairman of the Aquaculture Leadership Group for England. This group is working towards a vision for Seafood for 2040, and under James’ leadership, the group produced the English Aquaculture Strategy, which launched in November 2020. James is adept at developing relationships with key industry players and brings a network of government, academic and commercial relationships to support the success of his aquaculture business ventures.

Lee Tanner

Lee Tanner established the Company in February 2014, pioneering the UK’s first commercial tilapia hatchery. The hatchery achieved production of 5 million fry annually, with exports reaching over 15 countries.

Lee then expanded the Company’s operations by designing a state-of-the-art lumpfish facility. This facility leverages cutting-edge technology from outside traditional aquaculture.

Lee has spearheaded the design and development of the core innovative technologies at 360 and in collaboration with Swansea University; this has led to the filing of multiple patents. These technologies, owned exclusively by the Company, are set to revolutionise the automation and yield of modular indoor shrimp farming.

Despite not having formal technical qualifications, Lee’s accomplishments clearly demonstrate his expertise and deep understanding in the field of design engineering. His intuitive nature and passion for innovation enable him to see connections and patterns that others usually miss, ensuring the Company remains at the forefront of aquaculture advancements.

Neil Reynolds

Neil brings exceptional global leadership and engineering experience to the board of Three Sixty Aquaculture.

A Chartered Engineer, Chartered Environmentalist, and Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, Neil has held senior executive and board positions at major infrastructure and water sector firms including CH2M, Exyte, Biwater, and Skanska.

His career spans over three decades and includes scaling businesses, leading multimillion-pound transformations, and delivering mega-projects across the UK, Europe, MENA, Asia-Pacific, and Africa. He has successfully prepared companies for IPOs and trade sales, built award-winning teams, and driven growth strategies rooted in innovation, governance, and sustainability.

As a Non-Executive Director, Neil supports Three Sixty’s strategic growth by offering seasoned oversight in risk management, infrastructure scale-up, and environmental stewardship. His passion for water innovation and sustainable development makes him a valuable guide as the company pioneers a new era of responsible aquaculture in the UK.

Collaboration & Innovation

We work with global technology leaders to push the boundaries of what land-based aquaculture can achieve.

We are currently trialling NanobOx’s next generation nanobubble technology at our R&D facility in Swansea. Operating at a fraction of the energy cost of traditional oxygenation systems, NanobOx enables improved dissolved oxygen delivery and potentially accelerates shrimp growth while reducing feed conversion ratios (FCR). Early indications suggest this could significantly reduce operating costs at scale.

We’re also trialling cutting-edge CO₂ stripping technology from GIS (Gas Infusion Systems). Their high-efficiency hydrophobic disc design removes excess carbon dioxide from the water with reduced pumping requirements and lower power demand. The result: better water quality, improved shrimp health, and enhanced system stability – all with a smaller environmental footprint.

Pilot Testing & Proof of Concept
